My total before coupons was $151.90. After coupons $124.90 Redeemed 50,000 SDM point so my out of pocket was $38.79 and I earned 19, 520 points. That's worth $25.00 or so to redeem later. In total the price of products purchased was $184.98 which in the end will cost me OOP $13. 79! That's a savings of $171.19! or 92.5%

Free Fibre 1 Brownies

Coupons for FPC are a terrific way to try new products without spending any money. About a month ago I received a FPC for Fibre 1 Brownies that was good only today July 24th. I went to Walmart to pick up 2 boxes as I had an extra coupon from a friend. These are regularly $2.79 a box at Walmart so today's savings was $5.58!

Bear Paws Coupons

I've mentioned before that sometimes coupons are hidden inside the packaging of products you purchase. There is no outward signs that they contain some money saving coupons. Always make sure to look inside the packaging to see if they have hidden a promotion. Bear Paws are a perfect example of this. I bought some on sale this week at Sobeys and inside the product was a coupon for the 20 pack mini chocloate bars. It was a $4.00 off when you buy 2. I went to redeem them this week and wouldn't you know it they had a promotion on that package for $4.00 off Bear Paws when you buy 3 and it also came with a free Bear Paw sample.

Nestea Ice tea has a promotion going on right now. If you purchase a specially marked box it has a coupon inside for a Free 12 pkg of Ice Tea. This week No Frills has it on sale for $2.88. So head on over and pick up your 12 pkg and then have Free ice tea for the rest of the summer!

Get More Free Stuff!

I think it's important to point out that making your way to any GRAND OPENINGS is a great way to get things for FREE. If you're like me FREE is always better. Today in Niagara Falls Pet Smart had their Grand Opening of a new store. I made my way there at 8:30 am, with coffee in hand, for the 9:00 am opening. There was already a line of about 30 people many of whom brought their pets. Lots of dogs, a guinea pig and a parrot stood in line with their owners. A flyer had come in the mail listing the deals and I knew ahead of time what I wanted to pick up.

Some of the deals I went for were:

Friskas cat food reg. $0.64 on sale for $0.32
Free cat toys (picked up 3 for my 2 cats)
Free T-Shirt
$5.00 coupon in the flyer
Free Gift Card to first 100 people in the door (from $5.00 to $50.00)
Worlds Best Cat Litter reg. $33.99 on sale $30.99

With these sales in mind I went in the store and entered 2 draws, got my free gift card and free T-Shirt. I picked up my items on my list and headed for the cash. Although the store was packed they had lots of staff on hand to make the experience quick.

My bill came to $62.18 and I used my $5.00 coupon. My gift card ended up being one of the $50.00 ones so in the end I paid $7.18! Just to point out even if my gift card was a $5.00 one I still would have walked out saving $34.00 by shopping for the great deals a grand opening has and using then flyer coupon. Also it's important to buy products you would normally buy and know your prices to make sure they are not over priced.
